The wholemeal ring-shaped biscuit, together with the classic ring-shaped biscuit, represent the forefathers of all our recipes.
Words of Fabrizio Cavanna (family miller): “I saw the difference when I tried the stone-ground whole wheat flour straight from the mill into our biscuits. The ring-shaped biscuits have changed considerably and the taste was formidable… We were able to diminish the amount of fat of 30% and it appeared to be the winning choice for all the other biscuits”.
That’s a brief description of the particularity of this simple but delicious biscuit.
We also use several varieties of ancient grains, which carry exceptional taste and nutritive properties. They are also carrier of a very high amount of natural fibre, without the addition of bran or any other products.
Ideal for breakfast, together with tea or milk. Excellent substitute for rusks.
Ingredients: 40% stone-ground wholemeal soft WHEAT flour, sugar, BUTTER, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, fresh whole MILK, fresh EGGS, raising agent: ammonium hydrogen carbonate, whole sea salt, essential lemon oil, Madagascar vanilla extract.
Nutrition declaration: average value per 100gr of products. Energy 2036 kJ /485 kcal, fat 20g of which saturated fatty acids 7,7g, protein,8,7g, carbohydrate 64g of which sugar 25g, fibre 7,3g, salt 0,5g.
