To produce this biscuit we start from the flour, which is stone-ground in our mill (Mulino della Riviera). While buying this biscuit, you also buy a piece of sustainability for the environment, since the mill is operating exclusively with water.
We buy butter and milk from nearby farms, we accurately select the eggs. We also pay attention to the origin of ingredients which are present in small amounts, like the whole sea salt coming from Sicily.
We produce the biscuits and we wrap them while they are still warm. They will never have all the same shape, some of them will be narrower and some other rounder, but this happens because of the traditional and artisan way of producing.
The recipe is simple and genuine, just as our grandma taught us.
Ideal breakfast with tea or warm milk, perfect also as snack during the day. They can be used as base for the cheesecake as well.
Ingredients: type 1 soft WHEAT flour, sugar, BUTTER, sunflower oil, cocoa butter, fresh whole MILK, fresh EGGS, raising agent: ammonium hydrogen carbonate, whole sea salt, lemon essential oil, Madagascar vanilla extract.
Nutrition declaration: average values per 100g of product. Energy 1996 kJ/476 kcal, fat 19g of which saturated fatty acids 7,5g, protein 8,7g, carbohydrate 65g of which sugar 25g, fibre 3,2g, salt 0,4g.
Keep in a cool and dry place, away from light sources. It may contain traces of NUTS and SOYBEAN.
