Stone ground flour and quality raw materials

What distinguishes our homemade cookies from the others? Surely the main ingredient, that is flour, because it is stone grounded inside our Mill, the “Mulino della Riviera of Dronero”, still working with water alone.

Raw or tumbled whole wheat flour, soft wheat or rye, corn, buckwheat: these cereals, these grains complete with all their parts, are ground to natural stone, slowly and sustainably. Along with them high quality locally produced ingredients are added, such as butter, fresh milk or cream, and selected eggs, while the whole sea salt comes directly from Sicily.

Inside the biscuit factory the raw materials blend together, knead and take their shape, from the round-shaped to the subrik to the single portion biscuit. One after the other, the trays enter the oven and when they come out there is an unmistakable scent of good things, of home, of family, warmth, tradition.

The biscuits are followed step by step: we carefully check them from their freshly baked color to the degree of cooking, ready to be packaged still warm, to keep their fragrance from oven to table. The recipe is simple and genuine, just like our grandmother taught us.

 
 
 

Tradition that looks to the future

Over time we decided to combine tradition with progress, the future of industry some types of biscuits are packed semi-automatically, while others (like the round-shaped ones), are accurately packed manually one by one in order to not compromise their shape and integrity.

We like to combine the craft of the past, rich in knowledge and shrewdness, with the great innovations of technological development.

Once our biscuits are in their packaging, they are displayed on the shelves of our shop attached to the factory, where customers coming to stock up on breakfast products are welcomed by a sweet scent. That’s right, when buying you can see and smell a delicious smell of freshly baked cookies.

In our store you can find all our products, divided into classic biscuits, sweet tooth, intolerance line, zero sugar line… a wide choice of products adaptable to your needs and requirements.

At the point of sale, you can also buy all the ground flours in our “Mulino of Dronero”.

 

Not only cookies

Flours, cereals, seeds complete the range within the store: we select quality products that we use in our recipes and the same we propose to you: soft wheat flour for bread and focaccia, rye and spelt flours and many other ingredients including hazelnut grains, chocolate chips, brown sugar, natural yeasts...

For breakfast a wide choice of fruit or crunchy muesli, flakes and oilseeds; for your everyday recipes we have selected cereals in high quality grains such as Carnaroli rice, brown rice, pearl spelt and barley.

It is worth visiting us in Villar San Costanzo, in the province of Cuneo, at the gates of Maira Valley, to visit the biscuit factory, the mill, and spend a pleasant day admiring the beauty of the area.
