What distinguishes our homemade cookies from others available on the market? Surely the main ingredient, that is flour, because it is ground in stone inside our Mill, the “Mulino della Riviera of Dronero”, still working with water.
Raw or tumbled whole wheat flour, soft wheat or rye, corn, buckwheat: these cereals, these grains complete with all their parts, are ground to natural stone, slowly and sustainably. To this are added quality ingredients and locally produced, such as butter, fresh milk or cream, and selected eggs, while the whole sea salt comes from Sicily.
Inside the biscuit factory the raw materials blend together, knead and take their shape, from the doughnut to the subrik to the single portion biscuit. The trays, one in a row to the other, enter the oven and when they come out there is an unmistakable scent of good things, of the home oven, of family, warmth, tradition, that can also be perceived around the plant.
The biscuits are followed step by step: we carefully check their freshly baked color to check the degree of cooking, ready to be packaged still warm, to keep their fragrance from the oven to the table. The recipe is simple and genuine, just like our grandmother taught us.
